So you want to add a review to our reviews section? Great! But before you do, please take some time to read these guidelines so that we can process new reviews faster. Once you have read them, you can submit your review by email.
- Reviews should be at somewhere between 400 and 800 words long. A review that is too short or too long will not generate much reader interest.
- Be fair with your review. If you write a review then it’s always good to be open minded.
- Provide background information. Everyone loves to know more about their favourite artists, so if you know anything that will make your
review more of an interesting read, go for it. However, be sure that interesting side-points don’t end up making your review too long.
- Use our rating system. We rate albums on the following dimensions: Vocals, Music, Lyrics and Repeat value. Please assign a score for
each of these between 1 and 10, where 1 is the worst and 10 is the best. You can use halves (like 4.5 or 7.5) to be more specific,
but please keep it at halves only, that means ratings like 8.3 or 2.7 cannot be used. We will add the end score by calculating the
average of these 4 scores.
- Highlight both the good and bad parts of an album. Perfect albums do not exist, every singer has hir/her flaws, and as review writer
it is always best to highlight the good and the bad so that people can weigh the pros and cons themselves.
- Make sure that a review you submit is your own work. Plagiarism is a crime and we will delete any review that we think has been taken
from somewhere else.
- Once you submit a review, your give us the right to post it for as long as we want. Since it is your work, you can also submit your
reviews to other sites if you want to since we do not require these reviews to be excluse to the Cherryblossom-garden. We do ask that
you refrain from reposting other people’s reviews without their prior consent.
Now that you’ve read our review guidelines, you can go back to read the reviews already posted or you can go ahead and submit your reviews through an email.
